(Editor’s Note: This past summer, Pastor Rich Rose of the First Baptist Church in Ithaca received an email from an organization, Cultural Homestays International, indicating that they were looking for someone to put up 7 women from China and Moldova who would be working over the summer as Housekeepers at the Holiday Inn in Ithaca.

Hospitality Wage Order Increases Minimum Wage
Big news for food service workers in New York: the tipped minimum wage has now been increased to $5.00 per hour. This decreases the tip credit to $2.25 an hour.
