Know Your Rights and Safety Health Rights Under OSHA
Carlos Gutierrez, the Workers Center’s Safety and Health trainer, will present a workshop Wednesday August 15 from 6-8pm at the Ithaca Health Alliance/Free Clinic, 521 West Seneca Street, Ithaca.
This workshop is free of charge, open to the public and light refreshments will be served.
Learn how to identify hazards and how hazards are controlled in the workplace. The training is designed for immigrant and vulnerable workers and people and community organizations serving these populations. However, everyone in the community is welcome, even if they do not self-identify as a member of the groups listed above.

This program is partly funded by the Susan Harwood Training Grant Program and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). The curriculum covers the importance of the rights of workers under the 1970 OSH Act, Employer Responsibilities, Standards, Inspections and Safety and Health Resources.
The Ithaca Health Alliance is cosponsoring this event with the TCWC.
