Alternatives Federal Credit Union and the Tompkins County Workers’ Center were pleased to join in the release of the 2023 Annual Living Wage Report yesterday, November 8th. The Report was produced by a team from the Ithaca and Buffalo Co-Labs of Cornell’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations led by Ian Greer and Rusty Weaver, respectively, both ILR Co-Lab Researchers. The event took place within the international context of International Living Wage Week.
The Living Wage is now $18.45/hour for a worker, up from $16.61/hour in 2022-2023. See details of the updated study here. Detailed story here from Ithaca Voice.
